Role Description


This position includes the overall responsibility for the management and growth of existing and new clients, actively identifying opportunities for business development, and ensuring that all are reaching set financial targets. It is also responsible for the line management of Account Directors, including supporting their leadership of their teams with mentorship, skills development, and nurturing talent.

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for key account planning, business development opportunities and forecast decisions
  • Develop relationships and provide strategic counsel to senior level clients
  • Strategically evaluate and propose solutions for client’s business – both new and existing clients
  • Provide strong leadership in the development of pitches and proposals
  • Display strong, consistent leadership with the Account Directors to achieve excellence in all aspects of planning and delivery as well as financial management of projects
  • Maintain awareness of relevant account profitability, and flag over-servicing or other financial risks, and plan on how to manage these situations
  • Identify, promote and ensure adherence to best-practices in the team and in their interaction with other internal teams
  • Responsible for initiating regular client/agency reviews and project reviews
  • Direct the account team to ensure that execution is handled in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Review and report on performance versus forecast of assigned teams
  • Develop expertise within each emerging digital platform that INVIVO actively works with (mobile apps, e-detailing, medical animation, etc)
  • Manage professional development of Account Directors with a view to increasing performance and expertise

 

 

Capability Requirements – education, skills & experience

 

  • University degree, Bachelors in Business or Science preferred
  • Substantial proven business development expertise in both organic and new business
  • 5+ years of practical experience with an agency focusing on digital media platforms
  • Ability to think strategically, have a strong understanding of digital marketing, tactics and strategies
  • Have a deep understanding and passion for the healthcare industry
  • Excellent written skills, particularly in relation to proposals and presentations
  • Proven strategy development skills
  • Well versed in delivering often-complex digital solutions and can speak knowledgeably about the approach
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Be solutions-oriented, providing creative alternatives to address challenges as they arise
  • Excellent and proven track record of building and sustaining strong client relationships and managing a range of digital media projects to a successful conclusion for both client and agency
  • Exemplary leadership and management skills with experience managing and mentoring a team
  • A comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry and market, with a passion in following and identifying future developments and trends
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and solution-finding skills
