Role Responsibilities

We are seeking a Creative Director who will serve as a key member of our Creative & Innovation department. This individual has the responsibility of driving creative and strategic conversations with our clients and offering ideas based on a strong understanding of innovative digital technologies. As a thought leader, the Creative Director will work closely with members of all internal teams to establish the creative vision and support this vision as the project moves through production. Projects at INVIVO, A Red Nucleus Company, are varied, ranging from mobile applications, e-learning, animations, conference exhibits, to games; all within the healthcare space.

  • Lead the ideation, concept exploration, and direct the creative production across numerous digital projects throughout their lifecycle, from proposal to final deliverable, ensuring that our clients' business objectives are met
  • Establish creative direction in client meetings, understanding their objectives, pitching ideas, designs, and establishing project requirements
  • Present the creative vision, concepts, and rationale for proposals to our clients
  • Collaborate with our Business Development and Marketing teams on marketing recommendations and strategies
  • Provide leadership to members of the User Experience and Graphic Design team that will report into them
  • Support the development of these individuals by mentoring, providing challenges, and helping to identify areas of professional growth
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the production team, including Development, Medical Content, Editorial and Animation, in reviewing work and providing support and direction as required
  • Maintain creative oversight of projects from concept to final hand-off to ensure that client expectations are met
  • Assist in the development of best practices. Identify process improvements, including software solutions, to continuously improve quality
  • Keep abreast of new creative approaches, technologies, and competitor insights. Analyze emerging trends and data, and communicate this information to INVIVO management and staff
  • Demonstrate thought-leadership (both internally and externally) through lunch & learns, panel or committee participation, and speaking opportunities

Capability Requirements – education, skills & experience

  • 8+ years experience in an agency setting (working within a creative capacity) with at least 3+ years in a managerial capacity
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Fine Arts, Technology or other related fields
  • Broad experience in digital marketing across several disciplines, notably graphic design, interface design, user-experience, design strategy, software development, and copy writing
  • Interest in and aptitude for creative business solutions in healthcare
  • Knowledge and interest in science and medicine
  • Proven background of providing leadership and inspiration, empowerment and mentorship to a cross-functional team
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels in the organization and to clients
  • Understanding of mobile or immersive technologies is a benefit
  • Technically savvy with an ability to conceptualize and develop innovative executions across all digital platforms while remaining on the forefront of emerging industry trends
  • Able to translate complex briefs and client objectives into an intelligent, clear, and actionable path to build superior solutions
  • Experience with 3D animation is a benefit
