The VP of Technology leads and manages the IT team to support the scalability of our organization and is responsible for the technology operations, product management, business applications, and digital transformation of our IT department.

Your Responsibilities

IT Operations & Security

  • Implements, supports and manages the IT infrastructure (on premise and cloud) to support all internal & external systems and applications, including ERP/CRM
  • Drives operational efficiencies by working with internal and external partners to leverage technology services and systems
  • Assists with the definition, development, and deployment of a comprehensive technology product development life cycle process
  • Defines, implements, and maintains voice, video, telephony, and data/networking services for all systems and applications
  • Manages the expansion of systems and infrastructure at new company locations globally
  • Manages the infrastructure, systems, & processes that support business continuity & recovery of Red Nucleus’s information systems including back-up, fail-over, and disaster recovery capabilities
  • Drives the implementation of IT security systems necessary to support product cybersecurity compliance across all products and aspects of Red Nucleus
  • Ensures the protection of Red Nucleus’s data, tools, applications, and information systems
  • Ensures department’s adherence to Red Nucleus policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, as well as other legal and regulatory directives

Processes & Best Practices

  • Establishes and manages the IT Program Steering Committee as the key governance mechanism for the IT department
  • Oversees the IT service desk to ensure the highest level of 24x7 support as well as customer satisfaction
  • Ensures quality systems administration, maintenance, back up, restoration, and performance optimization
  • Defines repeatable procedures that will help the IT organization scale globally and across multiple locations
  • Defines and establishes metrics and monitoring tools that measure the performance and robustness of IT systems (e.g. uptime and system availability) as well as customer satisfaction for all IT services offered to Red Nucleus
  • Tracks and manages team performance based on metrics and service level agreements (SLA)
  • Implements industry best practices as part of standard operating procedures and in support of the IT strategic roadmap

Digital Transformation & Cloud Migration

  • Defines the IT strategic roadmap for the expansion and evolution of Red Nucleus’s technology backbone
  • Drives the implementation of digital technologies to streamline key business processes, improve operational efficiencies that eliminate the need for linear scaling of staff in customer-facing departments, and increase customer satisfaction metrics
  • Oversees the migration plan for evolving mission critical business applications (ERP and CRM) from on-premises to a global cloud implementation
  • Leads and manages the change management process required for cloud migration of critical systems


  • Manages selection, development, performance appraisal, merit recommendation, and promotion of staff
  • Directs long- and short-term planning including headcount, budgeting, training, and systems requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and job experience.
  • 15 years relevant experience to include:
    • Prior work experience for mid-sized companies
    • Progressive work advancement in IT positions implementing a varied portfolio of technologies
    • 10 years in a managerial capacity leading an IT department of a fast-growing company with multiple locations and a global presence
  • Knowledge of database, cloud, infrastructure, and security systems that operate in a regulated environment (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA)
  • Strong process orientation with relevant experience implementing IT business processes
  • Experience implementing and managing performance metrics, SLAs, and best practices in an IT department
  • Knowledge and implementation of customer-facing enterprise systems and project management
  • Deep technical knowledge of network, server, cloud, mobile, and security technology:
    • Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards
    • Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories
    • Ability to conduct research into complex issues and products as required
  • Experience working with Office 365, including Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint

  • Skilled at negotiating with customers or management and influencing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization
  • Adept at creating and communicating a clear vision among team members and effectively aligning resources to achieve functional area goals
