Our Work

The types of projects we work on are diverse, spanning from pre-launch to post-launch positions of a brand lifecycle, across multiple audiences. Examples include

  • Design and development of new drug and medical device launch curricula for sales representative and medical science liaison audiences

  • Designing virtual clinical environments in which learners interact with HCPs and patients

Your Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to understand their goals and strategy
  • Serve as the content lead in consultations with clients and subject matter experts inside and outside of Red Nucleus to shape the design and development of custom deliverables that drive sales performance
  • Research and distill complex scientific information
  • Design and write educational materials for life sciences industry professionals, including sales representatives, medical science liaisons, and healthcare provider audiences
  • Write realistic dialog for patients, HCPs, and/or sales scenarios
  • Ensure that training materials are accurate, engaging, and adhere to client’s medical, legal, and regulatory standards
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with client teams that may consist of members from Sales, Marketing, Medical, Legal, and Regulatory departments
  • Build a positive rapport with client stakeholders that promotes repeat business
  • Provide analysis and strategic recommendations for new business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth of existing accounts
  • Collaborate with account managers, project managers, artists, and instructional designers in the development of proposal and pitch presentations
  • Participate in pitch presentations as the content expert for your team
  • Contribute to the development and execution of department goals and standards, and help drive internal initiatives
  • Assess performance of medical writers on your team on a regular basis and provide constructive feedback/coaching

 

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a life science
  • ≥8 years medical writing and/or healthcare industry experience
    • ≥5 years medical writing experience in the life sciences industry
  • Experience developing content for promotional, disease awareness, and training programs in the life sciences
  • Willingness and ability to
    • Handle multiple and changing projects, tasks, priorities, and deadlines
    • Quickly master new therapeutic categories or disease states
    • Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and positively accept and implement constructive feedback from internal and external sources
    • Consistently project an upbeat, professional attitude and image
    • Be available and responsive to the mentorship needs of medical writers on your team during business hours
    • Travel to client meetings/events
    • Work in the Yardley, PA office as needed to meet with clients, meet with team members for project and sales related work, and/or to provide mentorship to your team’s writers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and virtual meeting software (eg, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoTo Meeting, Skype for Business, WebEx, Adobe Connect)

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or biotechnology sales training experience
  • Healthcare provider experience (MD, PA, NP, nurse, pharmacist, etc)
  • Advanced degree (MA, MS, PhD, PharmD, MD)
  • Teaching experience
  • Instructional design experience
  • Familiarity with clinical research principles
  • Experience writing in multimedia formats
  • Working knowledge of AMA style
