Red Nucleus is looking for a Learning Experience Design Manager with a passion to create/develop innovative and engaging user-centric learning solutions for global, regional, and local use.  These learning solutions will act as a strategic enabler for functional competencies needed within various roles within our various clients (commercial, medical, leadership, etc).

 

The role is critical in ensuring learning is engaging, immersive, relevant, consistent, creative, and aligned with business objectives across all positions within the organization. The Learning Experience Design Manager will work directly with our client's Learning Experience Design teams and will contribute to solutions aligned to the strategic learning plans set out by the learning leadership team.

 

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing innovative and interactive learning solutions that meet our client's short- and long-term development needs. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting complex biotech/pharma sales organizations, be familiar with instructional design methods and best practices, and experience creating robust modalities of interactive live and remote training interventions.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Engage and align with US Learning Partners and Head of US Learning & Development to ensure consistency and applicability of learning solutions
  • Consult with key stakeholders to assess organizational priorities for learning content development in accordance with curriculum at the fundamental, intermediate, and advanced level
  • Interview and collaborate with subject matter experts (marketing, sales, leadership, medical, manufacturing, compliance, etc) to gather information to solidify the intent and accuracy for all learning content
  • Develop/create learning assets that maximize competence
    • Examples of learning assets include: live workshops, microlearning assets, e-learning content, assessments, gamified content, certifications, role plays, simulations, hands-on learning activities, virtual classrooms, webinars, and live simulcasts, etc
  • Keep up to date on new and innovative ways of designing content to ensure engaging learning experiences
  • Pioneer new technology for enhanced learning initiatives
  • Manage outside agencies/vendors, as needed, to support content development and project execution in a timely manner and within budget
  • Work with cross-functional teams (review committee, medical, regulatory, legal, etc) to gain final approval of content
  • Develop appropriate reporting for training programs
  • Conduct assessments after training activities to determine learning effectiveness
  • Report to Global Head of Learning Experience as part of the US Learning Experience team

 

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree
  • 3+ years of experience in pharma/biotech training and/or instructional design
  • Instructional design certification or equivalent course/work participation
  • Proven experience and expertise in building/creating impactful adult learning training content
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of the Kirkpatrick model for the evaluation of learning programs
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Articulate 360 suite of products
  • Working knowledge of graphic design skills to include Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Adobe Classroom
  • Basic knowledge of SCORM standards
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience with content development in one or more of the following areas preferred:
    • Complex disease states
    • Pharmaceutical/biotech products
    • Healthcare landscape (retail practices, hospitals, IDNs/ACOs)
    • Leadership development
    • QA, manufacturing standards in the pharmaceutical/biotech space

  • Proven ability to develop engaging training content intended for learners in various roles
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Intermediate-to-advanced functional understanding of the healthcare landscape, adult learning theory, instructional design models, training delivery, the science of learning, performance management, and coaching
  • Ability to objectively prioritize business requirements and workload to manage several concurrent projects at any time
  • Proactive, results-oriented focus toward work and product deliverables
  • Ability to work comfortably in a deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities; proven ability to prioritize effectively; well-developed time management skills that allow you to manage a project from creation to execution
  • High level of accountability
